Jean Jullien is a popular French artist based in London. His artworks depict the small and big issues of modern society. He is a great observant. That's probably one of his strengths as an illustrator.
His illustrations are influential because it communicates to society. Although the drawing skills were simple, the ideas behind were superb. You can derive different ideas from just a simple drawing. For instance, his drawing of Eiffel Tower peace symbol during the terrorist attack in Paris in 2014. It became a tool to unite people during that time. It's very symbolic and now part of the history.

Most of Jullien's artworks are greatly influenced by people in the community, their social and asocial behaviors. His drawings are cartoon-like, hence it's full of colors and outlines. Also, his drawings accurately characterize how society behave and communicate with each other. There is harmony between humor and realism in his drawings. And I think that's what makes his art pieces really impressive.
Take a look at some of his artworks and try to interpret each as you go through.
